Our modern manufacturing facility in Monticello, Iowa, is home to a hardworking team of engineers, sales professionals, and production specialists who bring decades of combined experience to every project. Making Construction Easier From Day One
A quality building doesn’t just need to perform well after it’s completed. It should also be designed to make the construction process as efficient as possible. That’s why we include features that help streamline installation and reduce unnecessary complications during erection.
Each project includes anchor bolt assemblies and anchor bolt setting plans that are shipped directly to the jobsite, allowing for a fast and accurate start. We also provide complete erection drawings and detailed instructions to help contractors and crews work more efficiently throughout the building process.
Our factory-welded purlin and girt clips simplify attachment during erection, while hot-rolled structural endwalls reduce the number of field-installed pieces and components. Adjustable rod X-bracing helps simplify plumbing and squaring procedures, making assembly more straightforward and efficient. These details may not always be visible once a building is complete, but they make a significant difference during construction.

That’s why we offer a complete commercial-style trim package along with a full range of siding and roofing panel options. These choices allow customers to create buildings that are not only functional but also attractive and professionally finished.
Every fastener used in the application of covering and trim includes EPDM vulcanized sealing washers to improve weather resistance and enhance overall building performance. These features help ensure the building remains protected while maintaining a clean, finished appearance for years to come. A great building should inspire confidence every time you see it.
Engineered for Strength, Performance, and Reliability
Every Commander Buildings structure is designed with long-term performance in mind. Primary framing connections utilize A-325 structural bolts and nuts, and our designs meet or exceed the allowable stress provisions outlined in the current AISC Manual of Steel Construction. We follow established engineering practices to ensure each structure delivers the strength, durability, and reliability customers expect.
We also take extra steps to improve functionality and weather protection. Framed openings are pre-cut and punched for specific doors and windows, eliminating unnecessary modifications in the field. Jamb extensions are included to simplify overhead door installation, and pre-formed ridge caps are standard on all buildings to improve weather tightness. Simply put, we believe details matter, and that the stronger the foundation, the better the finished product.
